Vintage Pol Roger & Co. Champagne wooden bottle crate — imported from Epernay, France.
Really special, rare piece — estate find with other champagne and liquor crates from the 1950s and 1960s. I live in northern Virginia so I sometimes come across interesting collectibles related to politicians, diplomats etc.
As you can see was shipped to the French Ambassador at the time in Washington. Other markings indicate indicates it was imported by Dreyfus, Ashby & Co. in NYC.
Nice vintage condition. Nailed together, sturdy. Writing looks great for age.
Measures approximately 21.5” across, 7.75” high and 15.25” deep.
